I have been a Physics teacher for about 10 years, joining Hermitage Academy, Helensburgh in Feb 2006.
I have previously worked at Langholm Academy, Dumfries & Galloway; Pent Valley School, Folkestone and St Anne’s School, Madrid.
I make extensive use of a data projector in my day to day teaching to incorporate SCHOLAR distance learning, ALBA interfacing and interactive web resources.
I make occasional use of Excel for data analysis in experimental work with senior pupils, and PowerPoint presentations across all classes.
As stated in my first posting I have never used a blog before, and my web publishing experience is limited to a site built for St Anne’s School in Madrid in 1999.
Some of my skills are a bit rusty, others are non-existent, but I’m hoping to get a lot out of the SSDN program and to be able to pass much of it on to my colleagues.
